PVSC PROGRAM
We are again avoiding the need for buses this year. The starting line is a 15 minute walk from the Westin hotel, so give yourselves enough time to get there, or use it as a bit of a warm-up. The race will start at Pier 62. Please reference the map above for the starting point. We will have race officials at the starting/finishing line the whole time, so if you do need to leave any items there, we can keep an eye on them, however we do ask that you don’t leave any valuables if possible.
You can register for the Sun Run online as part of your conference registration and there will also be the opportunity to register on-site. The registration fee is 20USD to help cover the event expenses. Runners will also receive some commemorative running materials, after their participation.
We are looking for Sun Run sponsors who would like to contribute towards the event costs or would be interested in sponsoring t-shirts! More details about sponsorship can be found here.
The PVSC Sun Run Awards gathering is planned for noon (12pm) on the same Wednesday, in the registration area. Awards will be given for top over-all finisher, top male runners, top female runners, top team, and perhaps a few more special ones as well.
Martha Lenio is the race director again this year, and if you have any questions, she can be reached at: [email protected]. If you would like to volunteer to help on the day of the event, that is also most welcome 😊 The aim is to have race monitors at some of the key turns and turn-around points this year.
We invite you all to take part in our 44thyear, 36th PVSC SUN RUN. And get training started for Seattle 2024!
