PVSC PROGRAM
PVSC is offering a companion & social program for family and guests traveling to Seattle with conference attendees who are interested to see what the city has to offer. It also a chance to meet and mingle with other participants of the PVSC 52 Companion program.
In order to participate in the activities below, you will need to register as a conference companion. Companions will receive a name badge which will grant them access to the Monday evening welcome reception and conference coffee breaks.
It is the companion's responsibility to purchase their own admission ticket for each day's activities. The individual price for each activity is listed below. We recommend purchasing the Seattle CityPASS as we believe this will save money, especially if you wish to participate in more than one activity. You can purchase a CityPASS here. The Seattle CityPASS Adult Ticket Price is $127.00 and includes entry to the following:

Cruise Location: Pier 55 on the Seattle Waterfront – 1101 Alaskan Way
Then in the afternoon, we plan to enjoy the sites of Seattle from the water on an Argosy Harbor Cruise. During this 1-hour narrated cruise, you’ll see all the beauty and history of the Emerald City. From the skyline to the shipping port, there’s views and history for everyone.
The cruise will include live narration with facts and history of Seattle’s past and present, panoramic, and up-close views of the Seattle skyline, shipping port and sweeping views of the Olympic Mountains and Puget Sound.
Note: Cruise route is approximate and can change based on each sailing’s weather patterns, vessel traffic, and other non-predictable factors, and based on our experienced captains’ discretion. Boarding begins about 20 minutes prior to departure and onboard seating is first-come, first-served.

We recommend having lunch at the Amory Food Court between visiting these two attractions. This is located on the Seattle Center Campus and has a variety of restaurants for attendees to choose from.
Next, visit a museum like no other on earth. The Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP) is located next to Seattle's historic Space Needle and houses some of the world's most legendary pop culture artifacts. Test your DJ skills in Sound Lab and get the scoop on the world's most mesmerizing producers of pop culture. Hands-on experiences, iconic artifacts, and award-winning exhibitions featuring luminaries in the fields of music, literature, television, and film make MoPOP a destination unlike any other.

The aquarium includes both indoor and outdoor spaces. You will want to dress for the weather and/or bring layers to maintain your comfort as you explore.
The aquarium also has a cafe where their chefs curate sustainable dishes daily along with artisan coffee and beverages. Weather permitting, the cafe's outdoor deck also offers stunning views of Elliott Bay.

Note: Chihuly Garden & Glass Museum is approximately a 20-25 minute walk from the Seattle Summit Convention Center or a 10 minute ride on the Monorail from the Westlake Shopping Center.
The Seattle Monorail is an elevated straddle-beam above ground line in Seattle. The monorail travels only between Downtown Seattle (Westlake Station) and the Seattle Center Campus (which includes the Chihuly Garden Glass Museum). Each trip take approximately 10 minutes.
Thursday Night Conference Social (7:00 - 10:00 PM)
The Thursday night social will take place at the Pike Brewing Company, an independent craft brewery in the heart of downtown Seattle's Pike Pace Market neighborhood. Attendees must be 21 years old to attend this event. More details can be found here.

DESCRIPTION
The day will start with the opportunity to explore Pike Place Market. This is one of the most popular markets in Seattle and offers a wide variety of shops centered around a public farmers market located by the waterfront. It's also one of the oldest continuously operating markets in the entire country, so you'll be experiencing a bit of history during our visit. The market itself is built on a hill, so despite initial appearances, you can find several lower levels full of shops you can peruse, along with some delicious restaurants. We will try to include time to visit the gum wall and the first Starbucks location.Then in the afternoon, we plan to enjoy the sites of Seattle from the water on an Argosy Harbor Cruise. This Chihuly Garden Glass Museum exhibits creative and colorful blown glass sculptures of renowned artist Dale Chihuly.
