Abstract

IEC 60891 Procedure 4 is an efficient model for the Climate Specific Energy Rating (CSER) power matrix reconstruction, yet its accuracy for Heterojunction (HJT) modules is constrained by series resistance (Rs) extraction across wide operating conditions. This study proposes a segmented hybrid strategy that employs the slope method for low-irradiance,low-temperature regions and the IEC built-in method for medium-to-high ranges. Validation using 66 measured I-V curves covering 200-1000W/m2 and 25-65℃ shows that single methods yield Root Mean Square Errors (RMSE) between 3.47% and 3.85%. In contrast, the hybrid strategy reduces the full-condition prediction RMSE to 2.09%, representing a 39.9% accuracy improvement. This approach effectively resolves power matrix reconstruction challenges for HJT modules, supporting reliable CSER ratings.
