Abstract
We present PVCollada, a schema that enables digital exchange of PV system design data. PVCollada describes the physical, electrical and mechanical configuration of a PV system by leveraging the widely-used Collada schema for 3D digital assets. PVCollada is free-to-use and is maintained as open-source software. Use of this schema can greatly simplify transfer of data among software applications for system design, performance modeling and monitoring.
