Abstract
We present a novel method to obtain parameters for the Sandia inverter performance model to data from operating PV systems. Currently, parameters for the Sandia inverter model must be obtained from laboratory measurements. We verify our method by recovering known parameters from simulated inverter power profiles, and validate the method by demonstrating accuracy of models fitted to data from several operating PV systems.
