Abstract
We report progress on what we believe to be the largest perovskite-on-glass panels (up to 1.93m2 active area) manufactured in the western hemisphere. We have recently achieved >15% efficiency and >300 watts from this full-sized active glass, which when laminated over a silicon layer, can yield a voltage-matched 4-terminal efficiency greater than the best production silicon technologies available. In the last year we improved full-size panel efficiency by more than 50%, increased active area 50%, and tripled the durability of our stack as measured in ISOS-L-2 at 75oC. Arrhenius data from LED-based chambers at 85, 75, 65 oC imply a pseudo-activation energy of about 1.15 eV, and a module lifetime of 20 years (>30,000 hours at 1 sun and temperature of 42oC, which is Normal Module Operating Temperature). Requirements for pre-conditioning and accurately testing large-scale perovskite panels are discussed.
