Abstract
This paper evaluates the performance of a 236 kWp grid-connected bifacial photovoltaic (PV) system with half-cut monocrystalline silicon modules. The system is simulated in PVSOL using a detailed three-dimensional model that incorporates site-specific parameters, including geographical location, system layout, shading effects, string configuration, module tilt angle, and inverter characteristics. The measured operational data are compared with simulation results to evaluate the performance ratio (PR) of the overall system as well as individual sub-systems equipped with independent inverters. The system PR of 78.6%, with sub-system PRs ranging from 79.55% to 77.65% over the period from July to December 2025. A close agreement between measured and simulated results is observed, with deviations remaining below 1.78% over the first six months of operation following system commissioning in July 2025.
