SUN RUN

The 35th PVSC Sun Run will take place on Wednesday, June 14th, starting at 6:30am.

The site of the run is a loop around the Laguna del Condado, with a short out-and-back to the Fortín de San Jerónimo del Boquerón at the end. A race map and walking path to the start is shown below.

There will also be NO BUSES to and from the run this year. The starting line is a 15 min walk from the conference hotel, so give yourselves enough time to get there, or use it as a bit of a warm-up. There are a few large roads to cross on the way to the start, so do make sure to cross at the lights.

The walking route from the conference hotel to the starting line will be posted the weekend before the race. We will have race officials at the starting/finishing line the whole time, so if you do need to leave any items there, we can keep an eye on them, however we do ask that you don’t leave any valuables if possible.

The Sun Run registration is available as part of the conference registration, but we will have the opportunity to register on-site. There will a small (15 USD) fee this year to cover expenses. There will be some commemorative running materials for runners.

The PVSC Sun Run Awards gathering is planned for noon on the same Wednesday, in the registration area. Awards will be given for top male runners, top female runners, top team, and perhaps a few more special ones as well.

Martha Lenio is the race director again this year, and if you have any questions you can reach out to her: [email protected]. If you would like to volunteer to help on the day of the event, that is also most welcome 😊 The aim is to have race monitors at some of the key turns and turn-around points this year.

We invite you all to take part in our 43rd-year, 35th PVSC SUN RUN. And get training started for San Juan 2023!
